About Us

The idea for business came from the knowledge, understanding and love of sailing.

On board every boat there is a locker containing courtesy flag. Flags are fundamentally important to sailors. They must fly themas a legal requirement to denote nationality and home port, but also out of courtesy when visiting international waters and respect in regional areas. The flag etiquette is so engrained in the yachtman that they would not consider putting to sea without complying with these rules.

From this, the idea was born of being able to 'show off' where you have sailed and where you have come from without having to articulate it to others. In wearing a shirt that has a flag on it, other sailors would immediately be able to identify each other and this would lead to conversation starter between them.

The theme can also be seen in our nautical soft furnishings range, aimed as brightening up your bedroom, sofa, summerhouse or boat.

OLD QUAY CLOTHING launched at the Earls Court Boat Show. Due to great success at the 2007 show we have now booked for the 2008 Earls Court boat show.

We are also exhibit at Southampton Boat Show, Dartmouth Regatta and Beaulieu Boat Show and will looking to exhibit at many other shows around the British Isles.
